ANP Technologies Awarded Additional Phase III SBIR Funding

Newark, DE (May 25, 2014) - ANP Technologies, Inc. (ANP) announced today that it has received additional funding from the US Army for the advanced development of prototypes of a rapid on-site test system for the detection of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors in water. Such inhibitors include pesticides and nerve agents.

This follow-on grant extends the company’s contract with the Department of Defense to develop and manufacture rapid tests to detect nerve agents, pesticides, and toxic heavy metals in drinking water at levels below human lethal concentrations using ANP’s proprietary technology comprised of a handheld reader and small disposable test tickets.  Commercial versions of these tests are also available for the determination of the safety of drinking water and source water, such as water from wells, rivers, and lakes, and detecting residual pesticide levels in fruits and vegetables, as well as tea and wine.  Simplified home use rapid pesticide tests can be purchased directly from ANP’s website or Amazon.

“ANP continues to demonstrate its cutting edge capabilities and its ability to turn ideas into real working products. This is what we are best at and we take pride in our ability to solve problems and create solutions.” stated Dr. Ray Yin, President of ANP. This low-cost and easy-to-use test has many uses outside of its military component that can only be limited by the imagination.
